The Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University in High Point, NC invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Pharmaceutics at the rank of Assistant orAssociate Professor (commensurate with experience) in the Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in pharmaceutics, chemical or biomedical engineering, physical chemistry, or a closely related field, at least two years of post-doctoral experience, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the delivery of team-taught courses within the professional curricula, advise pharmacy students, participate in course administration and service activities within the university and the general scientific community. Applicants are expected to establish and maintain an independent research program capable of attracting and maintaining extramural/NIH funding in the general areas of formulation science / drug delivery, nanotechnology, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, metabolism/pharmacogenomics, or drug discovery. Specific research interests for the department include studies of substance use disorders, natural product drug interactions, diabetes and infectious diseases.
